Project Magic: GIVING BACK
It was once said that the measure of one's love or passion for something is not what he has to show for it, but rather it is what he gives back. Project Magic is one way that we as magicians of Ring 1 can give back to the community. Each month, 3 or 4 magicians volunteer their time to perform for children at Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children. When the show is complete, the magicians stay to teach magic to the children. The kids at Shriner’s Childrens Hospital really enjoy the magical evening and all performers will walked away with a special feeling in their heart that they were able to bring some joy and a smile to a child that may have needed it most.
Each member is expected to participate at least once per year. This is a great opportunity to try new material, and to give back to those who may be confined for months at a time. If you would like to participate, please contact John Reider, Project Magic Chairman.
